The FirstPort Group Announces Partnership With IIRSM

By FirstPort on January 8, 2026 Health and Safety, Industry News, News

The FirstPort Group has partnered with the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM), reinforcing its commitment to promoting best practice in risk and safety management across its operations and the wider property management sector.

Through this collaboration, FirstPort – one of the UK’s leading providers of property management services – will work closely with IIRSM to share knowledge and contribute to the industry-wide discussion on risk and safety management.

The partnership will also support professional development across FirstPort, providing access to IIRSM’s international network of risk and safety professionals.

Keith Scott, Safety Assurance Director at FirstPort, said:

“Partnering with IIRSM is an important step for FirstPort. This collaboration gives us access to world-class insights and resources to further strengthen our approach to risk and safety management.

“Our ambition is to lead the safety conversation within the building and residential management sector – providing a platform for discussion, sharing best practice, and driving continuous improvement across the industry.”

Established 50 years ago, IIRSM is recognised globally for its expertise in risk and safety management, with more than 8,000 members worldwide.

IIRSM Chief Executive Phillip Pearson said:

“We are delighted to welcome FirstPort as a Supporter Partner of IIRSM, which demonstrates a clear commitment to raising standards in risk and safety management.

“By working together, we can help strengthen professional capability, share best practice and support safer, more resilient environments across the property management sector.”

As part of the partnership, FirstPort will offer individual IIRSM memberships to colleagues within its Safety Assurance team, enabling them to gain internationally recognised accreditation and access to a wealth of professional resources, including webinars, industry publications, and technical forums.

This initiative is particularly significant for Building Safety Managers, a relatively new role in the sector, providing them with a professional platform to engage in sector discussions and stay ahead of evolving safety challenges.
