Nationwide Service for Electric Charger Installation

    0
By Flat Living on November 3, 2022 Industry News, News

Legislation introduced in June 2022 is focused on helping move England forward when it comes to obtaining an EV charging infrastructure.

Electric vehicles, on average, omit three times less CO₂ then the equivalent petrol car! And if you’re an owner or Managing Agent of existing block of flats, acting now while you can get the financial support, via Government grants (see below for more), is definitely the sensible thing to do.

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) offer a grant for a whole host of building owners, including:

    • Commercially let properties Building owners, including landlords and social housing providers
    • Owners of apartment blocks
    • Commercially let properties

As an example, apartment block owners may be eligible for:*

    • A grant of up to £30,000 per building
    • A grant of up to £850 per bay
    • Additional grants of up to £500 per bay for supporting infrastructure to allow a charge point to be installed at a later date

Alongside this, the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is available to help reduce the cost of installing EV charge point infrastructure in places of work.

To be eligible for all OZEV EV charge point grants, an OZEV-approved contractor must be used to install OZEV-approved EV charge points.

THAT’S WHERE WE COME IN…Residentsline can now provide project managed OZEV accredited service across the UK via British Engineering Services Group.

** From your initial survey to switching your fully installed EV charging points on, British Engineering Services Group can help.
