    Creative visualisation

“Great things are not done by impulse, but a series of small things brought together.”

    Vincent Van Gogh

In order to create we must first understand the requirements, once the requirements are understood the creative process can commence. However, what is to be achieved must be realised, visualised and amplified. It must also be different, exciting and engaging to inspire that creativity. No, that isn’t another quote, that’s just me going through a thought process!

You see having time to think actually helps you to really understand what it is you want to achieve. That time also takes away the pressures of having to come up with an idea that’s ‘ok’ or will ‘just do’ because you’ve run out of that all-important thinking time. Having said that applying some timeframe can help to ensure things move along as I often find I work rather well under a little pressure.

It can also help the creative process to change your location, have a new view, and take a break from the norm. Maybe just walk away and take a break, full stop, turn, come back and look over your idea with fresh eyes.

I find the sea can be a very calming influence, it’s just that huge open space, your mind can literally stretch as far as the horizon and beyond with a little imagination. The fresh air, the calming sounds of the birds, the water it all helps to invigorate and inspire.

Sunlight helps too, well let’s face it a little sun can really help to lift the spirits in everyone. Is it spring yet? Well we’ve just passed through February and entering March. Then at the end of the month the clocks go forward and suddenly those evenings are a little bit lighter and we feel like doing more.

There’s signs of growth in the garden, I’ve already started cutting things back which reminds me the hydrangeas will require pruning soon, then suddenly you start thinking of arranging gatherings for some outdoor entertaining and planning events.

It’s all linked somehow I’m sure

And that’s exactly what I’m planning, well not a garden party though that had probably better go on the ‘to do’ list as well along with various other projects. But an event, gathering people, showcasing talent, presenting new ideas, new concepts, new products to the market and overall a new collaborative experience.

Stage by stage it’s building and those series of steps start to come together. Those initial thoughts start to take shape. That initial concept starts to form. That creative visualisation process is almost ready to be shown.

Follow that process, be the first to see what’s emerging, get ready to experience that collaboration of people, products, services, learning, inspiration, social engagement and ideas.
