Una is thrilled to announce that lease-up of Station Quarter in Corby is complete. Station Quarter comprises 100 apartments, a mix of one and two bedroom homes, with all-mod cons, each apartment is connected to an energy saving rooftop solar panel system, all EPC A-rated and is the first BTR development to operate within Corby.
Corby is a market town in the Northamptonshire countryside which boasts a vibrant community spirit with a rich cultural heritage dating back to early settlements in the Bronze Age. However, today the town offers a perfect blend of modern amenities and natural beauty for a balanced lifestyle.
Only being a little over an hour from London, the occupier demographic of Station Quarter is local (62%), with an average age of 32 and 26% holding key worker occupations. Una achieved unrivalled rents for the area, an impressive 17% rent premium over the local traditional house market, despite the fact the apartments are 36% smaller than the average house in the area, testament to the quality of the product and the amenities offer.
Even though Una was appointed just one week before PC in December 2023, the persistence of their leasing team led to great success. By engaging with the health sector, local employers, community clubs as well as hosting events supported by leaflet drops and social media campaigns, they banked an average review score of 4.9* along the way. The tenacity and sheer hard work has paid off and local demand exceeded expectations.
Russell Markou, Una’s Head of Strategic Living & Operations, commented, “It has been a true pleasure to work with and lease up Station Quarter for our valued client, Hecurl. Corby is not only a new location for us to operate within, but also an area not familiar with the concept of BTR, making it an even more pleasurable experience to provide homes of this quality to the local community. We are delighted that our team’s dedication and commitment in achieving this milestone has paid off, especially for our new diverse mix of Residents who we are excited to see create a vibrant, inclusive community at Station Quarter, and making this new development their home.”
Station Quarter is a development by Hecurl who believed Corby as a destination would be a success, the Una team collaborated with Hecurl in design and fit-out of the gym and Residents lounge areas, as well as recruiting an on-site manager and supporting the lease-up process by temporarily moving in to the property, giving the added benefit of living the experience.
Richard Williams, Ringley Group CEO said: “Una have spent many years developing and creating a highly advanced tech enabled fully integrated living platform- called Planetrent – which delivers a complete service to our clients and residents. We are delighted to have fully utilised its capabilities in working with Hecurl and to have achieved such a great letting and rental result in an entirely new market.”
