Earl Kendrick: Let’s stress the importance of Wellbeing

    Highlighting Health and Happiness

At Earl Kendrick Group, we understand the importance of setting the standard for workplace wellbeing, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to the Mental Health and happiness of our employees.

    Coaching

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness week, we have partnered with a coaching provider to host a movement session aimed at stimulating and re-focusing the minds of employees.

The sessions are delivered alongside a themed music playlist to boost mood, energy and build coping mechanisms to reduce the risk of stress, helping to break away from the traditional desk-bound routine.

    Unwind, destress and recharge

Through a series of dynamic and interactive activities, our employees will have the opportunity to unwind, destress, recharge and enjoy a rejuvenating break from the demands of the workday. These movement session promise to be both inclusive and engaging with a focus on inclusivity.

This Spring Earl Kendrick introduced a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) named Health Assured. This program provides colleagues with round-the-clock access to confidential support services by trained counsellors through a phone helpline, app, and online portal. Alongside advice on health and wellbeing, our employees can also seek guidance on financial and legal matters.

    Employee Challenges

Recognising the unique challenges that some employees may face, Earl Kendrick has also taken steps to support individuals affected by the menopause. Understanding the potential impact on work performance, the company is committed to offering necessary adjustments to accommodate their needs.

Flexibility lies at the heart of Earl Kendrick’s approach to employee wellbeing. Embracing the benefits of remote working and family-friendly practices, the company promotes a healthy work-life balance. Furthermore, initiatives such as eyecare vouchers and a Cycle to Work scheme underscore the company’s commitment to holistic wellbeing.

    Unlimited Leave policy

A standout feature of our ethos is our Unlimited Leave policy. This pioneering initiative empowers employees to take ownership of their time off, acknowledging the value of rest and relaxation in maintaining mental and emotional health.

Speaking on these initiatives, our Managing Director, Chris Stansell MRICS, MAPM, expressed enthusiasm about prioritising employee wellbeing. “At EK, our employees are our most valuable asset. By investing in their mental health and overall wellbeing, we not only enhance productivity but foster a culture where employees feel valued and supported”.

By implementing these innovative strategies, Earl Kendrick Group consistently raises the bar for workplace wellness, showcasing unwavering dedication to the mental wellbeing and satisfaction of our employees.
