Sixty Apartments and retail unit planned for former West Bromwich pub site after Bond Wolfe sale.

Contracts have exchanged for £1,070,000 for the sale of the land at 252 Duchess Parade on the High Street.
The property was sold to an undisclosed buyer who intends to use the existing planning consent to build the commercial unit and apartments.
The approved scheme involves a 2,623 sq ft retail unit on the ground floor and 60 apartments – 29 single bedroom, two person apartments; 27 two bedroom apartments for up to three people and four two bedroom apartments suitable for up to four people.
The gross floorspace of the residential area of the building will be 35,831 sq ft.
Shops and restaurants are in the vicinity of the site, with New Square Shopping-Centre and West Bromwich Central nearby. The latter provide quick and easy transport to both Birmingham and Wolverhampton city centres.
The development follows recent conversion projects on the High Street including the former Building Society, Parham House and Metro Court.
We are delighted to have sold this former pub site for residential development. I’m pleased that this will enable the next step of the ongoing transformation of the West Bromwich high street. Demand consented development sites like this remains robust despite the challenging economic climate.
