Expanding property management firm MetroPM has appointed the twin daughters of one of its directors as new apprentices.

Bella Smallman will be working with the property team at MetroPM, which has offices in Birmingham and Cheltenham, while Lilli Smallman will be working with the company’s finance team.

The twins, who are aged 19, are the daughters of Ian Smallman, a director of MetroPM, and will be studying towards Level 3 Customer Service apprenticeships with Protocol Group while working at the company.

Matthew Arnold, managing director at MetroPM, said: “Lilli and Bella both impressed at interview and we are pleased to welcome them both to the company as we continue to expand to look after even more properties.

“They have always been interested in the property sector from a very young age and both believe that property management will provide a great opportunity for them to learn and work in an ever-changing industry, where customer service is always key.

“Bella will be working with the property team as it continues to look at providing the high level of customer service that our customers, clients and contractors expect.

“She will assist in arranging the high quality, planned, reactive and remedial maintenance services through to completion.

“This will involve day-to-day liaison with third party contractors, maintaining our management system and populating it with up-to-date information and records.

“She will quickly become the first point of contact for properties and work alongside our property managers to ensure the smooth running of the schemes.

“This will include maintaining a register of all planned maintenance and compliance activities, preparing client reports for property managers in advance of client meetings and building sound relationships with leaseholders and contractors.

“Meanwhile, Lilli will be working in finance to assist the service charge team with administrative tasks and liaising with customers in respect of service charge payments

“She will also help to maintaining our management systems, taking calls, ensuring financial queries are dealt with quickly and assisting with credit control.”

Lilli Smallman said: “I am really looking forward to learning all aspects of the finance role whilst I complete my apprenticeship.”

Bella Smallman added: “I enjoy dealing with our customers and making a difference in a role that is  very varied, where I am learning something new every day.

“It is great to be learning on the job and supported by both my colleagues and tutors at Protocol.”

Established in 2006, MetroPM provides day-to-day estate management services to a growing number of developers, freeholders and resident management companies nationally.
