Bradley Parker explains how you can get one step ahead with fire safety.
Fire safety is at the forefront of all our minds these days, so ensuring your block alarm systems are working efficiently is a top priority. But block managers don’t always know when systems are in fault, often relying on maintenance teams and even residents to alert them to problems. Complaints often ensue from fire alarm systems activating, with sounders blaring for lengthy periods or window vents opening and rain damaging staircases; more so now that Winter is just around the corner.
At Future Fire Systems we don’t think this is acceptable. Faulty systems can put the lives and property of residents at risk.

To assist property managers and avoid problems like those outlined above, there are auto-notification systems on the market that can ‘push’ real time signalling from ‘un-manned’ sites. One product in particular can be retro-fitted into existing life safety control panels. It can send signals to a cloud-based App’ via a 4G SIM and even to an old fashioned desk top. Once installed and connected, users are linked in real time and are assured their systems are fully operational. This gives block managers the peace of mind that their systems are ‘healthy’ until they receive a ‘Fire’ or ‘Fault’ signal. This signal can either be sent to an individual property manager or RTMCo director or to a group of users who are linked to the device/property.
Be one step ahead of those false alarms, system faults and potential tenant complaints… there’s an App for that.
