Chair of Trustees for the Hollie Gazzard Trust Takes Fundraising to New Heights

Latest from Jodie Fraser, Chair of Trustees of the Hollie Gazzard Trust

In a daring and heartfelt tribute, Jodie Fraser, Chair of Trustees for the Hollie Gazzard Trust, will perform a wing walk to raise vital funds for the charity.

Jodie will be perched atop a Boeing Stearman, a historic aircraft originally built in 1942 to train World War II pilots.

The Hollie Gazzard Trust was established in 2014 in memory of Hollie Gazzard, a vibrant and ambitious young woman whose life was tragically cut short at the age of 20. Hollie was in an abusive relationship, and when she bravely decided to end it, she was fatally stabbed 14 times by her ex-partner at her place of work.

Hollie’s untimely death shook her loving and supportive family and all who knew her. However, her father, Nick Gazzard, has always maintained that Hollie was “too good for this tragedy to define her.”

The Hollie Gazzard Trust was founded to honour Hollie’s memory by turning tragedy into positive action. Since its inception, the Trust has been at the forefront of advocating for change, striving to create a world where no one has to live or work in fear. Their tireless dedication to raising awareness and providing support for those affected by domestic abuse and violence continues to inspire communities across the UK.

Jodie, deeply moved by Hollie’s story and the Trust’s work, is committed to doing her part to ensure that the Trust can continue its invaluable efforts. “Hollie’s story has touched the hearts of many, including mine,” says Jodie.

“The Trust’s dedication and commitment inspire us all to stand up against violence and support those who need it most.”

Speaking about her upcoming wing walk, Jodie adds, “I’m really nervous about the wing walk, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges faced by those living with domestic abuse. If my efforts can help even one person find safety and support, it will all be worth it.”

Jodie’s wing walk on Sunday 28th July, is proof to her commitment and willingness to go to extraordinary lengths to raise awareness and funds for the Hollie Gazzard Trust. She hopes that her daring feat will encourage others to support the mission.
