Liverpool Law Firm JB Leitch to Open London Office

By JB Leitch on November 28, 2025 Industry News, News

Specialist Liverpool property law firm JB Leitch set to open its first London office as a key part of its growth strategy.

Liverpool law firm JB Leitch is recruiting for its first London office which is set to open at the beginning of December.

JB Leitch, founded in Liverpool in 1997, is a specialist property law firm serving clients across England and Wales. Managing director Matt Jarvis called the move an “exciting and significant milestone” and “a major step forward in our growth journey”.

“By moving closer to many of our clients and to the courts and tribunals, we are not only enhancing accessibility but also positioning ourselves for growth – opening doors to new clients and new business opportunities,” he said.

He explained that the new base, which will be located in Chancery Lane in the heart of the capital, will allow for more frequent in-person meetings, consultations, briefings and offer an opportunity to build stronger relationships with clients.

“The expansion will also provide new opportunities for collaboration with London-based property and legal professionals, stakeholders and networks,” added Matt.

“In parallel to that we will continue to invest in our Liverpool operation to make sure we maintain our growth momentum at both ends of the country. This is going to be an exciting new phase in the evolution of JB Leitch.”

Headquartered in Duke Street in Liverpool, JB Leitch employs around 150 people and the new London office will add to its headcount. It will be staffed by a team of lawyers and support staff.

The firm’s recent achievements include retaining Tier 3 status in the Legal 500 rankings, recognition in the Property Management 50 Awards and notable case successes at the Court of Appeal which hold national significance.

This new London office will offer JB Leitch’s full suite of legal services, including property litigation, leasehold management matters in the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal, building safety advice, and arrears recovery services.

Another key driver of the move is to allow JB Leitch to increase capacity and structure the business to put it in a better position to take advantage of increasing demand, due to new legislation, in tribunal work, particularly the expected raft of appeals.

Matt also said: “For more than two decades, JB Leitch has been renowned for its specialist expertise in property management law, acting for many of the UK’s largest landlords, managing agents, and freeholders.

“The decision to establish a London base follows sustained growth and increasing demand for our services and work undertaken in the capital’s Courts and Tribunals.

“This new location represents an important investment in the future of our business, providing a practical, accessible, and collaborative space that will enable us to strengthen existing relationships while unlocking opportunities for new partnerships and expansion.”
