    Property Management Checklist

    0
By Clear Building Management on December 1, 2019 Using a Managing Agent

Ian Hollins, Director of Clear Building Management, provides us with a checklist to make sure your property management company is ticking all the boxes.

What services should you expect a managing agent to provide?

Clear Building Management provide a handy services checklist to help RMC directors and leaseholders identify what services to expect from a property management company.

Finding a new managing agent for your development can be a time-consuming job, not least because it is often difficult to build a like-for-like comparison between potential candidates. Property management companies may quote a low management fee, only to add on costs for services that other companies might include within the annual fee. Equally, services may be provided at different intervals, making it tricky to carry out an ‘apples and apples’ comparison.

    The Checklist

From working with RMC directors and their leaseholders and tenants, we have a clear understanding of the breadth of services and support that are required to deliver a happy and well-maintained development.

Our Property Management Checklist details the suggested service areas you should expect from a good quality managing agent.

Use the Checklist to assess whether your shortlisted agents provide each service; their frequency of provision (monthly, annually, as required, as per the lease etc), and any additional costs.

We hope you find this useful – and if you feel there is anything missing, please do let us know!
