Lendlease welcomes new BTR Operations Director and prepares to launch another BTR community

Lendlease today announced the appointment of Valerie Cseplo-Jeffrey as its new Operations Director of Build to Rent. Valerie brings two decades of experience in the property industry to the role, most recently with Bozzuto and Greystar in the US.

Reporting into Head of Build to Rent Stephanie Barbabosa, Valerie will oversee a talented team, which launched Park Central West and Park Central East in vibrant Elephant and Castle in 2021. With the motto ‘service is our signature’, Valerie will ensure that the day-to-day operations of the communities live up to the promise of providing a rental experience not previously seen in the UK.

Valerie’s appointment comes just as the organisation prepares to expand its operations with another Build to Rent community. Today they reveal for the first time that the name of this new community will be City Lights Point to reflect its commanding views of London’s dramatic skyline.

With 118 luxurious pet-friendly apartments next to the lush and leafy 2.5-acre Elephant Park, each home will include a private terrace or balcony. Every apartment features underfloor heating, roller shades with blackouts in the bedrooms, extra closet space, a full suite of modern, integrated Grundig appliances, and wood floors throughout.

However it’s the amenities in the ‘Sky Lounge’ located on the 18th storey surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows which truly sets this community apart. Fully included in the monthly rent are a 24-hour gym with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, a private dining room, games room, and stylish lounge complete with a projector and 68” screen, which opens out on to an observation terrace boasting breath-taking views across the city. Reflecting the increasing move to hybrid working, the community also features a generous co-working space and conference room on the podium level that leads to the private garden.

The ‘service is our signature’ ethos extends to residents benefitting from a 24-hour maintenance guarantee and a skilled and professional team onsite to deal with any resident needs. Residents can rent it like they own it with the freedom to paint their walls, hang pictures, and let their individuality and creativity shine through.
The mix of retailers on the ground floors of the communities are also carefully curated to act as an extension of the living space above and embody the same values that residents prioritise, with a focus on sustainability, wellbeing and the local economy.

Valerie received her MBA from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University, and holds several accreditations and certifications, including that of Certified Property Manager (CPM®) from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).

Stephanie Barbabosa, Head of Build to Rent at Lendlease says: “We’re delighted to welcome Valerie to the Living by Lendlease team. Her wealth of expertise will be a huge asset to us as we launch our brand-new community, City Lights Point, and continue to expand across the UK and Europe. Valerie is dedicated and passionate about the sector, and I am thrilled that she will be ensuring that all of our residents continue to experience the highest standards of renting in this exciting new community.”

Valerie Cseplo-Jeffrey, Operations Director of Build to Rent at Lendlease says: “I’m so pleased to be joining the award-winning Living by Lendlease team at this exciting time. I can’t wait to bring all I’ve learned from the US to the UK market and make a meaningful contribution to both Living by Lendlease and the emerging Build to Rent sector.”
