JB Leitch is pleased to announce that it has achieved ISO 27001 certification for Information Security Management.
Developed by the International Organisation for Standardisation, ISO 27001 is a globally recognised information security management system standard that requires adherence to controls governing information security policies; human resource security; asset management; access control; physical and environmental security; communications security; development and maintenance; information security incident management; information security aspects of business continuity management; and compliance.
Following a comprehensive independent audit of the firm’s systems and processes earlier this year, JB Leitch has received official certification which recognises that our approach to managing, processing and storing data meets this highest international standard.

Along with ensuring both GDPR and Data Protection Act compliance, the ISO 27001:2013 standard specifically provides a set of standardised requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). A core requirement for certification is the ability to identify, assess, evaluate and mitigate risk through the specific controls in place. Given that the firm routinely handles high volumes of detailed information, this accreditation demonstrates JB Leitch’s ongoing commitment to high standards of information security across all aspects of its business.
