Doyenne is about passion. A passion for the leasehold sector, for inspiration and for the continued progression and success of women in our industry.
Originating from the French language in the late 1800s, Doyenne means the most respected or prominent woman in her field. For the leasehold sector it is our aim to make Doyenne the most respected and prominent forum for women across the industry to connect and inspire.
The leasehold sector is truly inspirational. From construction to surveying, recruitment to management, accounts to legal, leasehold property is one of the most diverse and multi-faceted industries. Women have endless opportunities for continued development and progression, however the question still remains, have we done enough to pave the way for the new up and comers? Have we done enough to secure our own futures as female market leaders?
Although the real estate market makes up some 70% of the U.K. economy according to the latest statistics from the RICS, there remains lack of general support covering the leasehold sector. It therefore falls to us to educate young passionate women to the opportunities that are available and provide them with the support to succeed. Doyenne provides an opportunity for choices, to meet individuals with true passion and to be inspired by peers from a variety of fields that are collectively referred to as the leasehold sector.
Created by three women from across the sector, Alice Cadfan-Lewis, Samantha Massey and Emma Blaney, Doyenne is an opportunity for like minded professionals to network and connect whilst providing a base for women with a drive to achieve.
