This month we meet Bradley Parker, MD at newly launched Future Fire Systems. Read on to find out more about Bradley and his new venture.

You have just launched a brand new company. What motivated you to establish Future Fire Systems?
As we are all aware, Future Lighting has a recognised reputation for providing an outstanding service, which is second to none in the Residential Block Management sector. For many years now, I have headed departments whereby high quality service is paramount for customer retention and business growth. With this in mind, establishing Future Fire alongside Future Lighting will enable us to deliver full turnkey solutions to the existing client base and to also provide a solid platform for developing the growth strategy vision of the business
What is your background in the fire safety sector?
I have 20 years’ experience in the fire and life safety industry, from engineering level to head of engineering and all things in between, such as business development, account and project management. I have managed both service and installation departments, working for many large corporations and blue chip clients.
What does your role involve day-to-day?
Managing the business, including all aspects of planned preventive maintenance, reactive callouts and installation works, ensuring service level agreements are met by monitoring KPIs relating to target achievement and contract obligations. Also maintaining and developing existing customer base relationships by monitoring the standard of services, through customer satisfaction contract meetings.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career?
With 20 years working in the service industry, being able to develop outstanding customer service relationships. Customer satisfaction is paramount for maintaining retention and business growth and the core value of our service mission will be to deliver a ‘personal service’ to each and every one of our customers.
What is your proudest achievement?
It may sound cheesy but creating Future Fire with Jamie and Jordan and becoming part of a team that I believe will succeed, given hard work, focus and determination. At this point in my career, with my qualifications and experience, this is absolutely the right time and an exciting venture for me.
What drives you crazy about the fire safety sector?
Not being able to ‘turn off’ my critical eye, when out and about, either working or in personal time. I can’t help checking out fire and life safety equipment – sad I know – and I’m irritated when I see aged, obsolete equipment or poor quality installations. Where is the aftercare reporting from the service provider, advising of dilapidation and industry standards? This is the part of the service that is failing our sector.
What’s happening right now?
I’m currently associating myself with the Future Lighting portfolio by attending the periodic contract meetings and introducing myself and what Future Fire is able to offer. Also liaising with past colleagues, who are interested in what we are able to provide as a Group.
What do you do away from the office?
I have a great passion for cooking and I am also a keen amateur brewer of craft beers and ales, having a mini microbrewery setup at home. I also have an old farm house in the South West of France that I am slowly renovating.
