VENUE: One Wimpole Street, London W1G 0AE
DATE: 1st November 2010
TIME: 6:00p.m - 9:30pm
Flat Living magazine is launching a series of roadshows to help leaseholders with advice and guidance in relation to their block of flats.
The first event, for leaseholders in central London, is to be held on 1st November 2010 from 6:00pm - 9:30pm at One Wimpole Street, London W1.
The format of this evening event is as follows:
6:30pm - 7:00pm Welcome drinks
7:00pm - 7:15pm What is leasehold?
7:15pm - 7:30pm Managing your Block
7:30pm - 7:45pm Service Charges
7:45pm - 8:00pm Should I extend my lease?
8.00pm - 8:15pm Can we buy the freehold?
8:15pm - 8:30pm Do we have the Right to Manage?
8:30pm - 8:40pm Are we adequately insured?
8:40pm - 9:30pm Meet the experts - one to one discussions
We expect between 225 and 300 leaseholders of privately owned London flats to attend, as the event is to be promoted in Flat Living, London publications and in the wider media.
We invite expressions of interest from you to participate in the following manner:
Expert speaker:
• To select one of the speaker spots for which you are best qualified
• To prepare a 10-12 minute basic laypersons presentation (with powerpoint slides) for leaseholder attendees (subject to topical commissioning and audit by Flat Living)
• To answer any general questions from the floor in the 3 minutes following your presentation.
• To make yourself available until 9:30pm to answer specific questions in a series of informal, one to one consultation sessions
Sponsorship element:
This event is FREE for leaseholders to register and attend. This means that the costs of the event need to be covered through sponsorship. Each speaker is asked to contribute £2,000 towards these costs. In the event that we receive less than 150 registrations the fee will reduce to £1,500. In the event we receive less than 80 registrations the event will be cancelled and no sponsor monies due.
This gives you and your firm the opportunity to speak directly with leaseholders who have opted in as needing the type of expert advice you offer. As consultations are likely to be brief, it is a wonderful opportunity for you to build a pipeline of instructions as a result of the event. By consent, Flat Living will share contact information on attendees (exclusively) with all sponsors. Flat Living will also review the event and your involvement in the following issue.
One Wimpole Street is very central and accessible, the venue itself offering a state of the art auditorium set up. In an adjoining function room guests and speakers can converse one to one with the services of a subsidized bar, in a quite informal setting.
We do hope to welcome you as an expert speaker at the event, and would welcome any questions you may have.
Kind regards
